The free taster session, offers you the chance to try a class before committing to a course. The class will include an introduction to the benefits of Pilates and the opportunity to begin to learn the fundamental principles of engaging your core muscles, correct alignment of your posture, breathing correctly and some basic movements.
The aim of Pilates is to correct posture and poor movement patterns, which are a major cause of injury. So by working on these areas you are not only reducing your risk of injury - particularly back injuries but are also improving the way you look through better posture and alignment. Pilates may be beneficial in helping the following:
Post natal to help strengthen core (tummy) muscles
Treatment and prevention of back issues
Balance and co-ordination issues
Mobility and flexibility
Breathing technique to help with stress and relaxation
Jon is an accredited body control Pilates Instructor and has been teaching Pilates for over twenty years. Jon has a wealth of knowledge and an extensive range of experience in teaching and rehabilitating clients through injury. Through this knowledge and experience you can be sure the exercises are performed correctly and safely allowing you to get the maximum benefit.
